Wine from vines grown in the localities of Saint-Joseph and Grand Cras. The soil is sandy and stony. Fermentation is natural, triggered by indigenous yeasts.
During the tasting, this Morgon exhibits notes of small red fruits, pepper and unique spices. It is balanced, fine, with a Burgundy aspect.
Morgon Vieilles Vignes by Guy BRETON is neither filtered nor fined. A slight addition of sulfur takes place to stabilize the wine.
The aging lasts between 6 and 8 months in fiberglass vats.
On the nose, Morgon Vieilles Vignes reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry.
These fragrances are often accompanied by delicate floral notes, which add an elegant dimension to the aromatic bouquet.
On the palate, the wine stands out for its silky texture and well-balanced structure. The red fruit flavors continue, offering a sensation of freshness and liveliness.
The tannins are generally supple, but have a certain firmness which gives the wine the ability to age well. One can also detect subtle mineral notes that reflect the characteristic granitic soil of the region.
